Easter Chocolates – make your own

Would you like to try to be a little more health conscious this Easter and have some fun into the bargain too?  Why not make your own chocolates?  This recipe couldn’t be simpler and they taste pretty good as well.  Adding the frozen raspberry in the centre brings just the right amount of sweetness which complement the raw cacao perfectly.

4 tablespoons (tbsps.) ground almonds

2 tbsps raw cacao powder

2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey

2 tbsps melted coconut oil

Frozen raspberries (or fruit of your choice)

You will also need an ice cube tray-a flexible bendy one is best.  You can get some really good shapes in ice-cube trays these days which will make your chocolates even more exciting and lovely to look at and eat.

How to do it;

Simply combine all  your ingredients together in a mixing bowl. , -except the frozen raspberries or fruit of your choice-, Then pour the mixture into your ice cube tray. Don’t fill the shapes up completely, leave a little space at the top.  Place a little frozen raspberry or fruit in the middle of each one and then freeze for at least 15-20 minutes.
